Our second day will begin with breakfast at the hotel, after which we will proceed to the Jaisalmer Fort. This fort is one of the few “living forts” in the world, housing around one-fourth of the city’s population. It’s fascinating to see how people have adapted and built dwellings within the fortress’s walls.
Next, we’ll go to the Jain temple inside the fort. This temple is a stunning example of Jain art and architecture, providing insight into the community’s rich culture and customs.
We will then visit the Patwa Haveli, a popular tourist destination that demonstrates the exquisite design and detailing that individuals put into their dwellings. Each haveli has an own architectural style, and their immense size will leave you wondering about the lives of those who had lived here.
In the evening, we will visit a desert camp, which will transport you straight into the Arabian Nights. We will take a camel ride and watch the breathtaking sunset over the desert dunes.
As night sets, we will spend the night in tents in the center of the desert, accompanied by colorful cultural events featuring Rajasthani traditional music and dance.
